Someone made a sexual AI deepfake of my child. What should I do?
Reviewed answer
Treat it as image abuse and support your child; the image being fake does not erase the harm.
- Reassure your child and record usernames, page addresses, and threats without downloading or forwarding sexual images.
- Use the platform's intimate-image removal process. Contact the school's safeguarding staff if students are involved.
- In the US, report to CyberTipline.org. Report a covered platform's failure to act within 48 hours of a valid removal request at TakeItDown.ftc.gov.
