Corrections and appeals

When we get it wrong

Automated checks make mistakes. If we flagged your real message, website or business, or missed a scam, tell us and a person will look.

How to appeal

  1. Go to Support and choose "A result was wrong" or "Appeal a result about my website or business".
  2. Tell us the link or the words that were checked, and why you think the result is wrong.
  3. A person reviews it, usually within three business days, and replies by email.

What happens next

If we were wrong, we fix the rule or content that caused it and note the correction below. We never accept payment to change a result.

Corrections log

  • Nov 3, 2026: Real bank alerts that ask you to reply YES or NO, with no link and no request for a code or payment, are no longer labeled "likely scam". Found in our own testing before launch.
  • Nov 3, 2026: A USPS package text was filed under the wrong scam type. Clear keywords now decide the type.
