My online order never arrived. How do I try to get my money back?
Reviewed answer
Document the missing order and contact the seller and payment provider promptly.
- Save the order, promised delivery date, tracking details, and messages. Contact the seller through the original platform.
- Ask the carrier to investigate if tracking says delivered. Keep its response for your dispute.
- Contact your payment provider about a non-delivery dispute; do not let repeated seller promises consume the dispute period.
- In the US, preserve credit-card billing-error rights with a written dispute within 60 days after the first statement showing the error was sent.
