Private browsing mainly limits what the browser saves locally; it does not make you anonymous.

Use private browsing for reducing local history, and close all private windows when finished.
Remember that downloads and bookmarks can remain. Remove sensitive downloaded files from shared devices when appropriate.
Do not rely on private mode to hide activity from websites, account providers, or a network operator.
