How do I stop apps from accessing more information than they need?
Reviewed answer
Review permissions and allow only access that supports a feature you actually use.
- On Android, search Settings for Permission manager. On iPhone, open Privacy & Security and review the listed permissions.
- Remove unnecessary access to contacts, photos, location, camera, and microphone.
- Choose limited photos, approximate location, or access only while using the app when those options fit your needs.
