I gave someone a verification code. What should I do?
Reviewed answer
Contact the service named in the code immediately; the code may have granted access.
- Read the original code message to identify the service. Open that service directly and contact its official support.
- Change the affected account's password, end unfamiliar sessions, and check recovery details and recent activity.
- For a bank code, call the bank's fraud line now. Explain exactly what you shared and which transfers you did or did not initiate.
